Justin Holiday is on a mission! Silencing his critics yet again, the 6’6 guard put on a show Thursday night scoring a career high 38 points, while leading the Idaho Stampede to their third straight victory. A force to be reckoned with on both ends of the floor (6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals), Holiday continued his recent hot streak, posting career best numbers for the fourth time in the last 6 games. A league favorite for defensive player of the year, as reported by NBA.com, Holiday has recorded eight games of four or more steals, 14 games with two or more blocks and 16 games of six or more rebounds this season, while shooting better than 38 percent from the three-point line.
Averaging 26 points a contest over the last 7 games, Holiday seems a man amongst boys as of late. With an NBA prospect alert that reads, “lanky and quick, Holiday has the size and touch of an NBA shooting guard, with the game and energy level to make an impact all over the floor,” it seems almost inconceivable to think that teams are not falling all over the D-Leagues hottest young star. Puzzling his agent, fans, and even Holiday himself, one thing is for sure. Holiday has proven night after night he is one of the leagues top prospects and truly deserving of an NBA call-up. For Justin’s sake, hopefully that long awaited call-up is not too far off. Keep up the good work young fella! It certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed.
