NBA Sized Dream Becomes Reality In Meridian

Axiom & HSB Academy Team Up For World Class Hoops Facility

It’s been a five year journey, full of hard work, plenty of sacrifice and a whole lot of believing, but last Friday former hoop standout Carson Sofro took to social media to share the news.  The Co-Founder and Director of one of the countries fastest growing youth basketball initiatives announced via Instagram his NBA sized dream of opening a world class training and competition venue in Idaho’s Treasure Valley had finally become a reality.  Posting a full sized color rendering of the facilities brand new center court, Sofro revealed renovations on the 7,500 square foot space are well underway with operations scheduled to begin in early October of this year.

“We are beyond excited about the opportunities this partnership will provide not only for our kids but for the local community,” shared Sofro.  “Axiom and its management team really stepped up and made this whole thing possible.”

Capable of accommodating indoor athletic training, camps, leagues, as well as tournaments, HSB Academy Court as it has been called will fill a unique void throughout the valley, while also making a significant financial impact on the local and regional economy.

A place to play, learn and grow, HSB Academy Court will be the official home of HSBCAMPS, HSB Academy, and the all new TV80, the Treasure Valley’s only premier youth basketball league.  Additionally rental space has been made available to outside groups with much of it already spoken for on multi-year leases.

Facility features include a full sized NBA stadium court with shot clocks, two middle school sized practice courts and some of the industries top coaches and instructors.  With an attached fitness center, high end locker rooms and other available amenities, the overall complex has already become an attractive destination for groups not only throughout the country but around the world.

“We have been getting calls and inquiries from literally all over the world,” added Sofro.  “Professionally affiliated organizations all the way to clubs and youth teams from Asia and Central America.  The response has been truly remarkable.”

Beyond Axiom, HSB Academy and its team would like to acknowledge the following corporate sponsors who have stepped up to answer the call.  Those include bodybuilding.com, Gyro Shack, Papa Murphy’s Pizza, PC Maintenance, Goodwood BBQ, Powerade, Swire Coca-Cola, Terra West, A Higher Plane, and McAlvain Construction.

HSB Academy To Offer 10,000 Free Training Sessions To Boise Youths

There’s a group of young professionals looking to shake up the youth basketball scene in Idaho’s Treasure Valley this fall. United by their passion and drive to develop and mentor a new generation of aspiring young athletes, the quartet of former collegiate and professional standouts is making their presence known. Key members of HSBCAMPS, (America’s fastest growing youth basketball program), the group has founded HSB Academy, Idaho’s first year round basketball training academy, with the sole intention of elevating the caliber of basketball development and education currently available to local players. Jump starting the program, HSB Academy and its coaching staff announced today that 10,000 free workouts will be offered to local youths wishing to come in and sample their elite style of training. Coupons for these sessions will begin circulating in the schools and local businesses early next week. Combined, the group has collectively trained more than 2,000 young athletes from around the world over the last two summers.

Following in the footsteps of HSBCAMPS, the academy’s comprehensive curriculum will focus on individualized skill and player development, not just playing games. “We want everyone to know that we are not an AAU or club team,” explained Academy Director and HSBCAMPS Founder Carson Sofro. “HSB Academy’s sole focus is developing well rounded athletes, better basketball players, and more confident young men and women.”

Accompanying Sofro are former professional basketball players, Kevin Sweetwyne (Oakland, CA), Michael Quinney (Oakland, CA), and Jamaal Jenkins (Dallas, TX). Offering an industry leading 8:1 player to coach ratio, the four offer a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience to the Treasure Valley and all those fortunate enough to attend their programs. With sessions limited to only twenty-four participants, don’t miss this free opportunity to try before you buy, and elevate your game training one-on-one with the pros.

*Free sessions limited to one per person and are only available to those that have never participated in any previous HSB Academy sessions or events.

HSBCAMPS & The Idaho Athletic Club Team Up For Idaho’s First Youth Basketball Academy

Hard Work, Sacrifice, & Believe that anything is possible, is the message four young basketball professionals are bringing to Treasure Valley youth this fall. Partnering with the Idaho Athletic Club in Eagle, HSB Academy, Idaho’s first year round basketball academy will open it’s doors to the public on Monday October 3rd. A spin off of HSBCAMPS, HSB’s newest venture will operate weekly sessions for boys and girls in the elementary, middle, and high school grades, providing a positive outlet for developing young student athletes both on and off the court. The vision of Idaho native Carson Sofro (founder of HSBCAMPS), the academy will be the companies first year round offering. “Over the last three summers we have had the privilege and honor of training more than 2,000 young athletes from all over the world,” shared Sofro. “Though an amazing accomplishment, HSB has always been just a seasonal training program. Realizing the impact our programs have had on these kids and even ourselves, as a group, we wanted to do much more.”

Continuing in the traditions of HSBCAMPS, the academy’s comprehensive curriculum will focus on individualized skill and player development not just playing games. “We want everyone to know that we are not an AAU or club team,” explained Sofro. “HSB Academy’s sole focus is developing well rounded athletes, better basketball players, and more confident young men and women.” More impressive than its staff, HSB’s Academy delivers a world-class basketball experience to kids (Grades 1-12) for a fraction of the price of similar programs.

Accompanying Sofro are former professionals basketball players, Kevin Sweetwyne (Oakland, CA), Michael Quinney (Oakland, CA), and Jamaal Jenkins (Dallas, TX), all significant members of HSBCAMPS summer staff. Offering an industry leading 8:1 player to coach ratio, the coaching quartet will bring a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience to the Treasure Valley and all those fortunate enough to attend their programs. With sessions limited to only twenty-four participants per age group, don’t miss this exciting opportunity to elevate your game training one-on-one with the pros.
